This is something Victor has never done before. We think he’s getting old and sentimental (or maybe just mental). In either case, here’s your chance to actually own Victor’s bass! Hurry before Victor changes his mind. No, it’s not cheap but it shouldn’t be.
When Victor records an album, he uses this bass (or one like it) to record his bass lines because the tone is so deep and fat. (He uses a 4-string Yin Yang for the chords and solos.) For ten years or more, Wooten has owned and used two NYC Empire Basses by Fodera. For some reason, Victor has decided to relinquish one of them for the grand opening of the new store. Keep in Mind: 50% of the proceeds from the sale of this bass will go to Wooten’s 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization, Victor Wooten’s Center for Music and Nature.
